Terms of treatment
These terms apply to treatment contracts between Motus Privatpraxis, Katrin Vollbrecht, Hoyerswerdaer Strasse 14, 01099 Dresden, and its patients. Version of 1 January 2026.
The German version of this page is the legally binding one.
1. Scope and the contract
A treatment contract under sections 630a et seq. BGB comes into being when we confirm a requested appointment by telephone, email or in the practice. Sending the form on this website is a request, not a booking, and creates no obligation on either side until we confirm it.
2. Duration of an appointment
Every appointment lasts sixty minutes, whichever type it is. We do not offer shorter appointments and cannot divide an appointment between two people. If you arrive late, the appointment still ends at the agreed time, because the following hour has been promised to somebody else.
3. Fees
The fees are those published on the Fees page of this website and are agreed with you before the first treatment: Erstbefund €145, Folgetermin €125, Hausbesuch €190, each for sixty minutes, and €1,150 for a package of ten follow-up appointments. As a private practice we are not bound by the statutory Heilmittelrichtlinie or its price lists. Fee changes are announced at least four weeks in advance and do not apply to appointments already confirmed.
4. Payment
Invoices are issued by email within two working days of the appointment and are payable within fourteen days without deduction to the account stated on the invoice. Packages are payable before the first appointment of the package. We do not accept card payment. After the due date, default interest is charged at the statutory rate.
5. Reimbursement
The contract is between you and us; reimbursement is a matter between you and your insurer or Beihilfe office. We cannot promise that a private insurer, a Beihilfe office or any other body will reimburse our fees in whole or in part, and the invoice remains payable if they do not. We hold no contract with the statutory health insurance funds; a statutory prescription cannot be redeemed with us, and statutory funds do not reimburse our fees.
6. Prescriptions
No prescription is needed in order to be treated as a self-payer. Most private insurers and all Beihilfe offices require an ärztliche Verordnung before they reimburse. If a prescription exists, please bring it to the first appointment; we note the treatment and the duration on the invoice in the form these bodies expect.
7. Cancellation
Appointments may be moved or cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before they begin, by telephone, email or the contact form. If you cancel later or do not attend, we charge the full fee for the appointment, since the hour cannot be filled at short notice. Where you were prevented by acute illness, an accident or a comparable event outside your control, we waive the fee; we may ask you to tell us what happened. A package appointment cancelled late is counted as used.
8. Package of ten appointments
A package is paid in advance and valid for twelve months from the first appointment. Appointments not taken within that period lapse unless you were prevented for a reason we accept. If treatment ends early, we settle the package at the single-appointment fee of €125 for the appointments used and refund the balance within fourteen days.
9. Duties of both sides
We treat according to the recognised professional standards of physiotherapy, document the treatment as required by section 630f BGB, and tell you when in our view physiotherapy is not the right answer. You tell us truthfully about complaints, previous illnesses, operations and medication, and you tell us when something changes. We may end a course of treatment where it is no longer justifiable in professional terms.
10. No medical diagnosis, no promise of success
Physiotherapy is a service, not a work contract: we owe careful treatment, not a particular result. We do not diagnose medical conditions and do not replace a doctor. Where the finding suggests something that does not belong to physiotherapy, we tell you and ask you to see a doctor.
11. Home visits
Home visits are made within the Dresden city boundary. The fee of €190 covers sixty minutes of treatment including travel time. Please make sure there is a firm surface to work on and enough space beside it. If we cannot work safely in the space available, we will say so and the appointment is charged as agreed.
12. Liability
We are liable without limitation for injury to life, body or health and for intent and gross negligence. For slight negligence we are liable only where an essential contractual obligation has been breached, and then only for the foreseeable damage typical of this kind of contract. Professional liability insurance is in place as stated in the Impressum.
13. Right of withdrawal
This website sells nothing and takes no payment. Where a contract is concluded exclusively by distance communication, you may have a right of withdrawal under section 355 BGB; if you expressly ask us to begin treatment within the withdrawal period, you owe a proportionate amount for the treatment already given. In practice, contracts here are concluded in the practice at the first appointment.
14. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction
German law applies. If you are a merchant, a legal person under public law or a special fund under public law, the place of jurisdiction is Dresden. Should individual provisions be or become invalid, the remainder of these terms is unaffected.
